The actual Pinball rolling sound is the most distracting, too much like a marble on a thin wooden board. Mechanical sounds have a bit too harsh and have a bit of an echo, I didn't adjust the level but they all feel like they were mic'd very close to the mechanism and wish it was a bit softer around the edge. I would like the left and right flippers and bumpers to be less dominant in the respective ears. Left right balance is too extreme for my taste. I haven't tried changing any settings yet to see if it improves. Sound- Note: tested with headphones and may be more of a matter of personal taste. Maybe an option to hide or limit display. I will say having them display early on is good, because it really shows how many options there are, but once you have a setup you like, I think less would improve the experience. Perhaps streamline for play and have a sub-menu accessible to view the setup options. If the Menu button were near the Play button, player would have faster access back to the game listĬonsider removing the confirm pop-up to menu, its more punishing than selecting it in error and unlikely in normal play.Ĭonsider options to reduce the number of buttons. Its a lot of work with a controller to move across all of those buttons to start a game. Since its in beta, i'll share some minor issues I found distracting and thought you might want to consider them for future iterations.Īfter selecting a table from the game menu, it would be nice to default to play, not menu. I have always liked Pinball Arcade physics, however now, I can see the difference, a lot more realistic. Just played on steam and really enjoyed and its definitely a buy. The free demo shows you all of the user configuration options that are available. ![]() If you want to give it a whirl, just download the free demo, which includes Time Machine without any limitations. To see them already implemented in the new Zaccaria game, even in the Early Access state, was a very nice surprise. ![]() People have been clamoring for only a small subset of these configuration options for years from Farsight Studios, but those requests have typically fallen on deaf ears. The options menu for user configurations alone is staggering. ![]() Although this game is still listed as "Early Access" on Steam, meaning the game is still in beta and the official release is still pending, it is a FAR more stable and user-friendly pinball simulation than anything Farsight Studios has ever released (e.g., Pinball Hall of Fame, The Pinball Arcade). I bought the Gold bundle which includes the base game, the configuration options, and all of the DLC at half-price on Steam last night and played a bunch of the different pins.
